We live in San Diego and the room in question gets a lot of morning sun. The room was a patio that someone enclosed with the far wall being all brick (fireplace). Where normally you would have drywall to screw in the brackets for blinds, you have a metal plate at the top of the window which the brick sits on. The rest of the house has wood blinds, but I’m up for anything - I just don’t know how to secure it. Any suggestions? Thanks

My daughter suffers with Migraines and needs complete darkness.
We have tried dark colored mini blind and window shades but even a crack of sunlight is pain full. Are there any ideas from other Migraine sufferers that might help? Any web sites that offer window treatment would be welcome.

I am looking for window coverings for my home in the Tucson area; we are interested in wood blinds. I also have a couple cell shades that need to be re-strung. Does anyone have any recommendation on Tucson window coverings repairs and companies? Any help would be appreciated.
