I brought a townhome recently and wanted to know if putting a CELLULAR SHADES as blinds for windows is worth ?
I have 2 year old kid

For me the cellular shades look was great compared to others. Let me know if cellular shades are outdated ? and may be the wood blinds are latest trend .

It depends what you are trying to go for. Cellular shades are most often used to block out light…you can get the same effect with wood or faux wood blinds. Plus blinds are more durable. Depending on where you get them you can get them cut down to the size of your window, so if you are going for a light blocking window treatment, you can get an inside mount.

Cellular shades are made of fabric,so they will stain easily.especially when you have young children at home, If you open your windows regularly for fresh air you will find that this fabric will get dirty.
I personally do not recommend them to families with small children.
Homes with older responsible children find that cell shades are very solar effecient. On a positive note, when completely raised they offer very little obstruction to the view.

Hi, Cellular shades are not outdated and offer a wide range of fabric choices. They offer a lot of light control and are a energy saving window covering. There honeycomb structure keeps the heat out in the summer and the heat in during the winter. http://www.windowshadesblind.com/cellular-window-shades.html Hope this helps.
